Both Bargain Centers offer opportunities to
share your time and keep resources flowing to the ministries they
support. Below is a list of some of the types of volunteer
positions available. If you think one of them fits your time and
abilities, click the link below for more information.
Sales Clerk: Work at a cash register to check out customers
who have purchased materials. Cash register training is provided.
Floor clerk: Marked goods are set out in the store for sales.
Clothing, household goods, collectables, etc. are placed out on the
store floor daily. Training provided.
Marking clerk: Various items are marked daily for sale in the
stores. Using various price lists and some training, a marking clerk puts
the prices on items being placed out for sale.
Sorter: Donated goods that come in are checked and sorted to
determine seasonal, how saleable they are, and address any safety
concerns. Training is provided as to how and what items are to be
sorted.
Electronic Repair: A person with some knowledge of small
electrical appliances, etc. to test, and in some cases repair, items.
Some training provided.
Stockers: Someone who can assist with moving boxes and general
handling of merchandise. There is always a need for this at both stores. |
